1 - Where is Dr. Laura Cano's Clinic located?

2 - Do I need a Referral Letter to book an appointment with Dr. Cano or Dr. Tse?
A referral letter must be sent from a Family Physician for each new medical issue before an appointment can be booked.

3 - Is there a cancellation list? 
Yes, at this time our clinic does have a cancellation list.

4 - Once a Referral Letter is sent, what is the wait time for the initial appointment to be booked?
There is a 1 week to 2 month wait time for routine appointments once a Referral Letter has been received.

5 - How long will my appointment take?
The physician you will be seeing is a Specialist and is often called upon to provide advice and guidance throughout the day. We suggest you do not book other appointments on this day to avoid potential conflicts and to expect at least an hour for your appointment.
6 - Can I come to my appointment if I have my period?
Yes, you can come to your appointment if you are having your period.
7 - What can I expect to happen at my initial consult appointment?
The physician will go over your medical history and may require to perform an examination applicable to the medical issue for are referred for.
8 - Once I have signed consent forms for surgery, how long after will my surgery be booked?
There is a 2 month wait for surgical booking, once surgical consent forms have been signed. You will receive a phone call from the Hospital booking office approximately 2-3 weeks from the intended date of the surgery.

9 - How long do I need to be off work following surgery?
Time off for recovery following surgery varies depending upon what surgical procedure is performed. This will be discussed with you at the time of your appointment.
10 - Is it normal to experience bleeding, clotting and cramping after Mirena IUD insertion?
Minimal spotting and cramping are common side effects, it can take you body 3 to 6 months to fully regulate after Mirena IUD is inserted, however, persisting, increasing pain or heavy bleeding are reasons for concern and you must contact our office.
